Nouvelle Année, Meilleur Mackle

I've decided that this year I won't be the "new year, new me" cliche (as if I have actually said that in previous years). 2017 is the year that I am going to focus on bettering my current self. I'm pretty damn happy with how life is going right now, but I've been taught that there is always room for improvement. I finished last semester with great grades, I have truly amazing people in my life and I have two internships for this upcoming semester. What goes up, must come down, and it's important to keep a positive outlook on things when they aren't going your way.

To me, the most important thing to possess in this lifetime is happiness. It doesn't matter how much money you make, what material possessions you own, or how great people may perceive you. If you aren't happy within yourself, you need to make a lifestyle change. So whether that be removing negativity around you, or dropping everything and traveling the world, I have one piece of advice for you. Do it. Take a chance, fall in love, fall down, and stand right back up again. Don't be intimidated by taking initiative and cutting out people that do anything besides encourage you to be a better person.

This year, and for years to come, remember:

  • A day without failure is a day without effort

  • An extra year of of college is $50,000 that you won't have in your pocket

  • Do what makes you happy, and

  • You can't pour from an empty cup, take care of yourself first

(don't know who said that last one but it wasn't me) I'm trying to get healthy this year because my diet is currently equivalent to that of a ten-year-old. Hopefully this blog will give me motivation to stay on track with that. With 16 course hours next semester, two internships, and searching for paid internship for summer, I know this semester will be anything but easy. I know that I have amazing people to help me through this and find the drive to succeed

within myself, ANYTHING is possible.

Keep your head held high. There's only 356 days left to make 2017 the best year yet.

xoxo,
